Becoming a phlebotomist in Canada, is not as complicated as you may think. Many medical students go through with the training while they are studying for their nursing or other medical courses, but one can become a phlebotomist, even without any other medical qualifications.
Phlebotomist Certification in Canada
There are different requirements what kind of certification is needed, depending on where you are planning to work. If you are based in Ontario,you need to be qualified by Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario for example. Most training courses which are provided in different provinces need to be approved by Canadian Medical Association. One needs to be fluent in both English and French in French speaking provinces, other than that a high school diploma is needed.
